A turning point came when he discovered inland marinas as a recession resistant, high yield asset class with multiple income streams. Drawing on a personal legacy — his family once owned a Minnesota lakeside resort — Jay blends strategic portfolio management with operational insight to unlock overlooked opportunities in this niche.
As Founder and Managing Partner of South Silver Group, Jay directs the SSG Recreation Fund, a fund of funds targeting professionally managed marinas in the U.S. Southeast. He focuses on acquisitions with strong cap rate arbitrage potential, standardized operations, and long-term investor value creation.
