Eddie Martin

Eddie is a business attorney whose practice focuses on advising clients on corporate law, financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, complex contract negotiations and commercial real estate. He has extensive experience with advising companies on entity formation, growth and expansion, debt and equity financings, and mergers, acquisitions, stock sales and asset sales. Eddie also has significant experience in commercial real estate, including land acquisition and sale, development, leasing transactions, and commercial real estate financings.

Eddie was born in Lubbock, Texas, and grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Trinity Valley School, where he played football. He graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, where he studied economics. After a year off, he attended law school at the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his J.D. in 1993.

Eddie practiced for almost seven years in Fort Worth with Kelly, Hart and Hallman. In 1998, he became general counsel of The Dunlap Company, a regional department store chain operating 82 stores in 19 states. He ultimately became chief operating officer. In 2008, he joined Buis & Co., an investment banking firm located in Fort Worth, where he served as a Managing Director and General Counsel. He also served as General Counsel of NOR Partners, L.P., a private equity fund sponsored by Buis & Co. In 2013, he joined Go Green Partners, L.P., a start-up venture which built a wood pellet manufacturing plant in Central Texas and exported its product to the United Kingdom. In 2014, he co-founded Retail Partners, L.P., a commercial real estate development firm located in Fort Worth. Eddie joined Grable Martin PLLC in 2020.

Eddie has served on the board of several non-profit entities and was a member of the board of Tandy Leather Factory (NASDAQ – TLF) for ten years.
